Here Today, Gone-dola Tomorrow

15 June 2009

Our friends Shauna & Doug were nice enough to let us use their room up at Vail Resort for the weekend when they couldn't make it. We had such a fun weekend exploring and swimming.

The pool was awesome, it was right next to the river so you could swim and watch the river at the same time!

Daddy, you forgot something!

Watching the hail storm
This was a crazy hail storm! Denver weather is so weird.

Camping Shmamping

25 May 2009

We went up the canyon not to far from home for a little camping trip with friends and it turned into a downpour, a small hike, some fiery cheetos, and a trip right back home. It was still pretty though! This canyon is west of Sedalia. How you go for a hike with 5 adults and 5 babies..

In the cuddle chair with Dash and Jayden
The boys toughed it out so we could still have dinner... dutch oven!

Shauna is our good friend, and the wife of Doug Brown - one of my buddies from high school

Happy Birthday tooooo Jake

13 May 2009

Jake turned 26! I surprised him with a flight lesson and a day of hanging out in Boulder. It was soo much fun and I think he had a good day. Boulder is such a fun town! Later that night we went to Hibachi with Jake's parents.

Aunty Geli & Snow

19 April 2009

Jake's lil' sis came for a visit and to check out Johnson & Wales culinary school. Dash loves her and so do we. Unfortunately the sky decided to dump an obscene amount of snow on Denver and we were stuck inside for 4 days!

General Conference

13 April 2009

We headed to SLC for General Conference and for Jake to get some work done at University Hospital. We got to spend some time with Jake's family and I also got to stop by and catch up with one of my favorite people (and former mission companion) Michelle. We also went up to Layton for a couple hours so we could visit two of my favorite relatives, my aunt Florence and my uncle Verd.

Checking out the view from our hotel..
Dash and I had lots of time to wander around while Jake was working so we walked to Temple Square and took a tour of the Conference Center. It's soo pretty! We ate lunch at a Thai restaurant by our hotel but it didn't look like lunch, it looked like what Dash left on the bathroom rug earlier that morning!
We had tickets to the Sunday sessions of conference. It was the first time I've ever been and I loved it! It's alot easier to stay awake when you're actually there! Jake's been so many times but it was our first time going together.

Michelle Hansen Misener & me - we were comps for 6 whole months!
Her adorable Amanda meeting Dash for the first time.
I have a special connection with my Uncle Verd. He's a free spirit and he gets me. Dash finally got to meet him!
